DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

  • We believe the Bible to be the verbal, plenary, inspired Word of God. It is essentially preserved from the original manuscripts and is infallible and authoritative.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ - coeternal with the Father - in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe repentance is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people. A sovereign work of regeneration by the Holy Spirit is accomplished by faith in the shed blood of Jesus for the remission of sin and His bodily resurrection. Confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ completes the introduction into the family of God.

  •  We believe that baptism by immersion is the command of the Lord Jesus and is essential for obedience and is necessary for full fellowship in the local assembly.

  •  We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.  We believe all of the gifts listed in I Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 are available today through the Holy Spirit.

  •  We believe that the government of God is accomplished through local churches and through human agency.

  •  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  •  We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
